IB DP 

International Baccalaureate Diploma Program

IB 교육과정은 스위스 비영리단체 IBO에서 주관하는 교육과정으로 학생들의 창의력과 문제해결 능력을 높이기 위해 토론과 발표 기반으로 구성되어 있습니다. IB 프로그램은 지식을 배우는 것에 그치지 않고, TOK(Theory of Knowledge)와 EE(Extended Essay) 같은 수업과 과제로 학생들이 논리적으로 자신의 생각을 독립적인 연구 조사를 합니다. 또한 CAS(Creativity, Activity, Service) 활동을 통해 사회봉사 활동에 주도적으로 참여하며 사고력을 키울 수 있게 유도합니다.

  • 각 수학, 과학, 인문사회, 예술, 문학, 외국어 영역 중 선택 과목 6개와 필수 과제 TOK(학습철학), EE(논문 에세이), CAS(문화, 스포츠, 봉사) 수행
  • 각 과목은 7점 만점; TOK, EE, CAS는 합산 3점 (총 45점 만점)
  • 각 과목의 연구형 과제 요구되고, 서술형 위주 시험으로 학생의 영작능력 중요시 됨
  • 영국계 대학 진학을 희망하는 학생 위주이며 총 2년에 걸쳐서 진행
  • 이수 후 특정 점수 획득 시, 대학에서 정식 학점으로 인정
